Dana Montgomery, Municipal Clerk, CMC

As municipal clerk, Dana’s responsibilities include maintaining the integrity of all governmental processes, providing administrative and technical support to all departments, protection and preservation of official  documents, assisting with all municipal elections, financial management, preparing the agenda and minutes of the Board of Alderman meetings, accounting for all receipts and disbursements as well as payroll processing.    

Dana has served the Town of Walnut as Clerk since 2007.  She obtained the Certified Municipal Clerk status in 2012 at both the state and International levels.

Meghan Burchfield,Deputy Clerk,cdc

As Deputy Clerk, Meghan’s responsibilities include keeping accurate records of municipal utility billings, customer service, and clerical work involving governmental accounting and reporting. She also was appointed Clerk of the Court in 2019 where her responsibilities include maintaining court records, preparing dockets, attending court sessions, and assisting the judge and attorneys.

Meghan has served the Town of Walnut since 2017. She obtained the Certified Deputy Municipal Clerk status in 2022.
